Port aux Basques ferry Terminal

A quick sketch done while waiting at the Port aux Basques ferry Terminal in Newfoundland. This is a pencil on paper sketch and done while waiting in line to be loaded on to the ferry. We were lucky to have good weather conditions on the day we were leaving Newfoundland to head back to North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Cheticamp

I made this sketch on my Wacom graphic tablet using the 2B pencil and the brush tool to add a little colour to the scene. This picturesque little Acadian community of Cheticamp sits on the west coast of Cape Breton Island along the Cabot Trail between the mountains of The Cape Breton Highlands and the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The natural beauty will leave you in awe...

St Peter's, N.S.

This sketch was created using a Wacom graphic tablet and Corel Painter Essentials 4. The town of St Peter's has many interesting scenes that can produce wonderful sketches. This one, is of a walk down the sidewalk on Grenville's Street with a view of one of the town's gift shop.

From the old sketchbook

"Seaside home on Cape Breton Island"
This drawing is one that I found in a sketchbook that I kept a few years ago. Going over my collection of sketches and doodles, a blog seemed like a good place to keep them all together.
